Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation Announces New Partnership with SCHEELS
The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) is pleased to welcome SCHEELS as a Diamond Level Mission Partner. Based in Fargo, North Dakota, SCHEELS is a 100% Employee-Owned Sporting Goods Retailer with 30 locations across 13 states.
“We are proud to partner with CSF and their work to protect the rights and time honored traditions of hunting, shooting, fishing and trapping in the United States.” said SCHEELS CEO, Steve M Scheel. “Responsible participation in these outdoors activities is an incredibly valuable part of conserving our great outdoors for generations to come, and something that we at SCHEELS have supported for over 120 years. CSF’s leadership amongst the groups working to protect these rights makes them a natural partner for SCHEELS.”
For decades, the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation has been the leader in the outdoor policy arena, seeking bipartisan solutions to wildlife conservation issues at both the state and federal levels. In 2022 alone, CSF successfully advocated for the availability of discounted lifetime licenses for youth aged 0-7 in Kansas, the authorization of .410 and 28ga shotguns for turkey hunting in Iowa, the offering of hunter education programs as public school electives in Colorado, and the inclusion of over $2 million of funding for hunting and fishing access in Idaho.
“We are proud to have the opportunity to partner and work with SCHEELS,” said Jeff Crane, President and CEO of CSF. “As we begin the 118th Congress and legislative sessions throughout the country, we are grateful to the team at SCHEELS for their support. At CSF we work every day to protect and promote our outdoor heritage for America’s 55 million sportsmen and women, and this critical work would not be possible without our Mission Partners.”
Mission Partner funding is critical to the success of CSF as it helps to arm CSF staff with the resources they need to make an impact for sportsmen and women. In the past five years alone, CSF has been instrumental in passing over 1,000 pieces of pro-sportsmen legislation at both the federal and state levels.
As a CSF Diamond Level Partner, SCHEELS will join other iconic brands and organizations including Armasight, Ecentria, Hornady, National Shooting Sports Foundation, Safari Club International, Shimano, and Vista Outdoor.
