Cut a dash with Rigby’s perfect pocket-knife

London gunmaker John Rigby & Co. is offering hunters the chance to upgrade their expedition kit with a knife that is as exquisite as it is hard-wearing, and combines the practicality of a folding pocket-knife with the beauty and craftsmanship associated with Rigby guns.

The eye-catching folding blade is crafted from Firestorm pattern Damascus steel and also features fine decorative filework, while the bolsters are made from Birdseye Damascus. Comprising a combination of 1075 high carbon steel and 15N20 high nickel steel, hardness after heat treatment varies between 57-58 HRC. Due to its sturdy back-lock design, with a 440c stainless steel frame and mechanism, the knife will not close when in use, but is easy to stow when not needed.

Measuring 7.5 cm x 2.5 cm, the blade boasts a deep belly drop-point, designed for easy skin penetration, which makes it an idea tool for skinning and meat processing of smaller animals. The giraffe-bone handle is traditionally shaped to aid grip and comfort. Each knife is engraved with the Rigby ‘double R’ and is supplied with its own handmade leather tab-top sheath to keep it secure and ready for action when you need it.

RRP: £199 including VAT / US $225 / €245
