Dale Weddle to Lead Deer Scoring at Kentucky Open Season Sportsman’s Expo

Deer scoring and a Trophy Deer Contest will again be part of the Kentucky Open Season Sportsman’s Expo, January 14-16, 2022 at the Paducah-McCracken County Convention & Expo Center in Paducah. Entries will be received all three days of the Expo on-site.

Dale Weddle and a team of four additional deer scorers will be present Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Weddle is an official measurer for Boone & Crockett, Pope & Young, Buckmasters Trophy Records and Longhunter Society. He has served as a panel measurer for Boone & Crockett and Pope & Young and is Regional Director for Buckmasters Trophy Records.

Weddle is also an award-winning freelance outdoor writer and photographer and a member of the Southeastern Outdoor Press Association. He has written and published over 200 articles on Kentucky’s trophy whitetail deer.

“We are excited to have Dale (Weddle) head up the scoring at the Kentucky Expo,” said Chris O’Hara, Vertical Outdoor Director, Bonnier Events. “Dale and his team bring a wealth of experience and are among the most respected deer scorers in the country. When you look at his resume, it’s amazing all of the accomplishments that Dale has racked up over the years. He’s a great addition to the Expo.”

Awards will be handed out for the top Typical Whitetail, top Non-Typical Whitetail and a Fan’s Choice Award.
