DRIVENTV SUPERSTARS PAT AND NICOLE REEVE PARTNER WITH PLANO HUNTING AND TENZING OUTDOORS

Plano, IL (May 14, 2014) – Plano Synergy, parent company to the industry-leading Plano Hunting and Tenzing Outdoors brands, appreciates innovation and drive wherever those attributes exist – whether in their own line of cutting edge products or within the actions and characters of the inspirational people who use those products. To this end, the company is pleased to announce a sponsorship agreement with Pat and Nicole Reeve – renowned hunters, parents, role models and co-hosts of the hit show DrivenTV on Outdoor Channel.

Pat and Nicole Reeve, enthusiastic users of Plano and Tenzing products, inspire viewers weekly on their hit Outdoor Channel show, DrivenTV.

Husband and wife Pat and Nicole Reeve both got their start in hunting at a very early age. Each was taught to hunt and have a reverence for the outdoors by those they most looked up — their fathers. Nicole took her first deer at the age of six, and has since put many record book animals on the ground. Remarkably, all of them have been captured on film. Her personal best is a 195” whitetail from her home state of Illinois, while her most memorable hunt was a male African lion she spotted, stalked and killed with her bow at 25 yards. Pat has been hunting for more than thirty-seven years and has an unmatched track record of taking some of the largest whitetails in the world. Pat has anchored over seventy-five record book bucks — all on camera — and currently holds the record for harvesting the largest typical whitetail ever on video. The massive ten-pointer taken November 14, 2005 scored an unbelievable 200 gross inches and net scored 192-3/8”.

“Pat and Nicole’s ability, dedication and drive make them successful hunters,” says Plano Synergy Vice President of Marketing, Pete Angle. “But it’s their humble character and commitment to conservation and family values that makes them role models for so many,” he continues. “It’s a unique and appealing combination we’re excited to get behind.”

Tenzing OutdoorsOf course, where sponsorships are concerned, genuine enthusiasm and understanding of the products being represented is critical.

Pat and Nicole have trusted Plano cases to protect their gear for years. “The Plano brand offers a wide variety of different cases that meet all our needs,” says Pat, “from protecting camera gear to the wide variety of firearms and archery gear we hunt with around the world,” he continues.

“They are built tough, always hold up to our travel and are ready for the next hunt,” adds Nicole, whose favorite is the Bow-Max crossbow case. “Protecting a crossbow is challenging because of its design,” she says, “but is critical because of the string, limbs and optics,” she continues. “The Bow-Max transports our crossbows in the back of our truck, the bottom of boats and on airline flights around the world. It holds up no matter who is tossing it around!” she concludes.

Tenzing hunting packs caught the eyes of hunters around the world when the brand debuted at the 2012 Archery Trade Association (ATA) show. Pat and Nicole were there, and have had Tenzing packs attached to their backs ever since. “When we put on a Tenzing pack, it becomes part of us,” says Nicole, alluding to the brand’s unmatched comfort and fit. “Tenzing’s functionality and design allows us to pack our gear in different compartments, making it easy to find when we need it,” adds Pat. “The different models in the Tenzing line offer the right pack for different needs — whether it’s a day hunt for whitetails or a sheep hunt in the mountains, our Tenzing packs are with us every step of the way,” he concludes. Both Pat and Nicole favor Tenzing’s roomy and versatile TZ2220 as a go-to pack in most hunting situations. “You hardly realize this pack is on your back,” says Pat, while Nicole appreciates the smooth zippers and durable pulls. “They never hang up and are super quiet when you need to get something out of the pack,” she says.

Nobody knows where the roadmap to life will take Pat & Nicole, but they admit, “When you’re facing the right direction, even the roughest path can lead to the top.” It’s those moments of success that keeps them driven. The duo has earned a total of 21 Golden Moose Award nominations and five wins for their Outdoor Channel television shows over the past four years. The new quarter of DrivenTV begins in July. “We have lots of big game adventures to share this season,” Pat says, “including mountain hunts for big horn sheep, mountain goats, caribou, wolf and many other species. We just successfully survived the frozen Arctic hunting muskox using our Tenzing packs, and have many Midwestern and Canadian trophy whitetail hunts to take viewers along on as well. We are leaving this week for Nicole’s dream hunt in Alaska for giant coastal brown bears… so stay tuned!”

When not traveling the globe in search of adventure, Pat and Nicole live in Wisconsin, where they experience their greatest joys — spending time with their kids, Olivia, Cole, Carson and Isabel, and helping them to learn and experience all that’s great and wonderful about the outdoors.
