DU TV celebrates its 25th anniversary season

Watch it on the Sportsman Channel

Ducks Unlimited Television (DU TV) is proud to present its 25th season premiering the first week in July. America’s longest running waterfowl hunting and wetlands conservation show began in 1997 as The World of Ducks Unlimited.

Many years later, the show continues to deliver audiences incredible waterfowl hunting action while educating them on DU’s wetlands conservation mission.

This season begins in Nebraska’s Rainwater Basin with exciting hunts for early-season blue-winged teal. DU TV co-host Fred Zink is joined by DU staff members and University of Nebraska-Lincoln DU volunteer leaders.

Nebraska’s Rainwater Basin is a major central flyway waterfowl migration corridor and the area’s abundant playa lakes are perfect waterfowl habitat. It’s one reason Ducks Unlimited, along with state and federal partners, has developed many projects and programs benefitting migratory ducks and geese in the Rainwater Basin. Subsequent episodes showcase waterfowl hunting destinations in Colorado and North Dakota, all the way up to Maine and back south through Oklahoma and Kansas to name a few.

Professional retriever trainer Mike Stewart is back with more training tips on “Duck Dog,” DU CEO Adam Putnam joins DU Chief Conservation Officer Karen Waldrop on the “Insights” conservation segments this year and DU magazine shotgun columnist Phil Bourjaily continues his role on “Guns and Gear.” Rounding out the segment lineup is “Duck Talk—calling and hunting tips from new DU TV sponsor Rolling Thunder Game Calls.

Joining the DU TV family is co-host Betsy Newbill. Raised as a DU volunteer in Dyersburg, TN, she tagged along with her father to DU events and later participated in both varsity and university DU chapters. Newbill was the DU National Scholarship winner in 2020 and she currently attends Mississippi State University.

DU TV airs Tuesdays at 1 a.m., Wednesdays at 7:30 a.m., Fridays at 12:00 p.m., Saturdays at 2 p.m., and Sundays at 3:00 a.m. (all times Eastern) on the Sportsman Channel. The Saturday 2 p.m. slot anchors “The Landing Zone presented by Ducks Unlimited” waterfowl and upland hunting lineup. You can find bonus content and classic episodes at www.ducks.org/dutv.
