Expanded Kansas Open Season Sportsman’s Expo Brings Outdoor Community Together, March 11-13
Now in its second year, the Kansas Open Season Sportsman’s Expo has expanded and continues to grow. Held at the Overland Park Convention Center, the Expo is ready to welcome outdoor enthusiasts, March 11-13.
This year’s Expo will feature more exhibitors, more seminars and more family-friendly interactive elements. Also new this year, is a special $5 Friday, with all adult tickets for Friday, just $5, when purchased in advance online. On top of that, parking is free at the Overland Park Convention Center and kids ages 12-under are free.
“The Kansas Expo has certainly grown by leaps and bounds this year and we can’t wait to see everyone there,” said Chris O’Hara, Vertical Outdoor Director, Bonnier Events. “With a year under our belt, we are thrilled with how the second edition of the Expo is shaping up. For outdoor enthusiasts in Kansas and Missouri, it is definitely the place to be.”
A number of legends from the outdoor industry comprise the Seminar Speaker Series, including Michael Waddell from Bone Collector, Eddie Salter “The Turkey Man,” Archery Trick Shot Shooter Byron Ferguson and Bassmaster Classic Champion Dion Hibdon, among others.
Paslie Werth, the new world record non-typical whitetail taken by a female, who hails from Kansas, will have her buck on display at the Kansas Expo.
Brad Loveless, Secretary for the Kansas Parks and Wildlife, will host an Open Discussion and Q&A on Saturday at Noon in Seminar Room A. He welcomes all questions and topics for discussion.
The Kansas Open Season Sportsman’s Expo features the latest products, gear and equipment for hunting, fishing and outdoor enthusiasts from industry-leading exhibitors. Many of the exhibitors offer exclusive “Try, Before You Buy” demo opportunities and specials “Show-only” pricing.
The Expo begins on Friday, March 11 and is open from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., continues on Saturday, March 12 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and wraps up on Sunday, March 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
