“Action Shotgun ammunition is designed specifically for competition, where reliability and accuracy are critical,” said Sam Oftedahl, Shotshell Product Manager at Federal. “This new rifled slug load gives shooters another dependable option for knockdown power and smooth performance in both tube- and magazine-fed shotguns.”
The new Action Shotgun addition is a 12-gauge, 2-3/4-inch rifled slug hollow point load featuring a 1-ounce projectile traveling at 1,300 feet per second. It uses a rigid hull to improve cycling through any magazine system. It also features Federal’s TruBall system, which centers the slug in the bore for superior accuracy through smoothbore barrels while maintaining manageable recoil for fast follow-up shots.
