Florida Welder Tackles Snow-Covered Mountains on Hunt of a Lifetime on Brotherhood Outdoors TV

Spring Hill, Tenn. — Following the sound of the hounds through deep snow and bitter cold in Utah’s rugged high country tests the endurance of union member Chase Amundsen during his mountain lion bow hunt on the next episode of the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance’s (USA) Brotherhood Outdoors TV series.

Amundsen, a union welder and member of United Association (UA) Local 123 from Plant City, Florida, is a life-long outdoorsman, but tracking a wily tom up and down snow-covered mountains is a first-time experience for the hunter. To add to the challenge, he does it with a compound bow.

Before traveling to Utah, USA Director of Conservation & Communications Forrest Parker visits Amundsen on the job and gets a lesson in TIG welding. Then the two head to the Sun Coast Youth Conservation Center in Apollo Beach, Florida, for a dedication ceremony marking the completion of a pier and boardwalk that Amundsen and UA Local 123 played a vital role in constructing.

After traveling 2,000 miles from Florida to Utah and gaining 5,000 feet in elevation, Amundsen—along with Parker, their guide Josh Horrocks, and a pack of seasoned lion hounds—pass up a small cat before finding tracks that kick off a two-day pursuit that ends as the clock ticks down on the last day.

Join Amundsen’s action-packed adventure when Brotherhood Outdoors airs on the Sportsman Channel Tuesday, July 21 at 4 p.m. Eastern with re-airings on Friday at 11:30 a.m., Saturday at 1:30 a.m. and Sunday, July 26 at 11 a.m.

Follow the excitement each week on Brotherhood Outdoors as union members pursue trophy whitetails in Wyoming, bull redfish in Louisiana, stealthy mule deer in Colorado, color phase black bear in Idaho, and more.
