Gamakatsu® Adds To Finesse Jig Head Line

Tacoma, Washington (March 31, 2020) There was a time when you didn’t see bass anglers using spinning gear very much. That’s all changed with the evolution of finesse techniques. With it has come an explosion of finesse jigs designed to stealthily deliver diminutive offerings on light line. Gamakatsu’s new finesse jigs will have bass fishermen everywhere sitting up and taking notice.

The Gamakatsu® Finesse Jig Head is the tool to reach for when you’re thinking “Ned Rig.” The Finesse Jig Head is all about precise positioning and presentation of pint-sized soft plastics. The spring keeper holds the bait securely and helps keep the plastic tight against the flat side of the jig head. The Finesse Jig Head creates a slow, controlled, gliding fall and a subtle hop, crawl and jig presentation that drives finicky bass nuts. A stout No. 1 hook allows failsafe hook penetration with the lightest of line. Unpainted heads facilitate trouble-free customization. The Finesse Jig Head is available in 1/16, 3/32,1/8 ounce sizes with a No.1 hook.

Gamakatsu’s Finesse Jig Head Offset is a new variation of the Ned Rig with a twist. The offset eye is countersunk into the bullet-shaped jig head, which allows for a clean profile sure to fool educated bass. The z-bend in the hook makes it easy to thread plastics on the hook and rig it Texas-style. A sharp premium forged steel Gamakatsu® hook ensures that when a bass breathes on your offering, it gets hooked. The Finesse Jig Head offset is available in 3/32, 1/8, 3/16 and ¼ ounces sizes with a 1/0 hook.

Not all finesse fishing is done in shallow water. The new Bottom Knocker Offset Jig is a deepwater version of a finesse jig. The head is a hybrid of a football/round style head designed to produce a tantalizing stand up action to mimic a defensive crawdad or feeding minnow. The recessed eye permits the jig to slip through rocks and vegetation. A sharp premium-forged Gamakatsu® hook means bites end up in the live well. The Bottom Knocker Offset Jig is available in 3/8, ½, 5/8 and 3/4 ounce size with a 1/0 hook.
