This uniquely designed, folding machete will be available for purchase in March 2021 on www.gerbergear.com. The Doubledown joins a growing category of Gerber tools serving the modern outdoorsman and will have a starting MSRP of $129.

The American-Made Doubledown is built in Gerber’s Portland factory for an array of tough, demanding tasks in the backcountry. The weight-forward blueprint, notched grip with forward jimping, and ergonomic handle is up for any chopping or batoning task that you can marshal. The slight recurve towards the base of the blade allows for typical knife-like handling when choked up on the grip. The full 6.75” blade, made with 420HC steel, can be quickly resharpened in the field. To keep operators safe in the wilderness, the QuadLock system engages in three positions and ensures a secure blade. Lastly, the MOLLE-compatible sheath allows for easy and readily-available transport whether on a backpack or a belt for use at a moment’s notice.
