GREATER VIRGINIA SPORTS AND BIG GAME SHOW RETURNS TO SHENANDOAH VALLEY

Harrisonburg, VA (February 11, 2008) – The Greater Virginia Sports and Big Game Show is returning to the Rockingham County Fairgrounds in Harrisonburg February 15-17, 2008.

A major focus of this year’s show is supporting non-profit organizations, including Hunters for the Hungry, Buckmasters, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, National Wild Turkey Federation, Quality Deer Management Association, Children’s Miracle Network, Teen Challenge, and the American Red Cross. The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will also be on site for blood donations on Friday, February 15th.

In addition to these charities, The 2008 Greater Virginia Sports and Big Game Show has also attracted an impressive list of national and regional sponsors, including Budweiser, Target, Dick’s Sporting Goods, First Bank, Sportsmen’s Warehouse, Charlie O’Baugh Pontiac Buick GMC, Key Real Estate, Rockingham Co-op and Blue Ridge Power Sports.

The Greater Virginia Sports and Big Game Show features activities for the whole family. From traditional Native American dance and taxidermy exhibits, to children’s activities, the Extreme Sports Complex, and a large hunting and fishing outfitter and vendor area, the 2008 Greater Virginia Sports and Big Game Show is truly a one-of-a-kind event. Be sure to check out the newest state-of-the-art attraction: the Target Racing Dodge NASCAR “Car Of Tomorrow” Simulator. In addition, the 2008 Virginia State Turkey Calling Championship and North American Open Competitions, Elk Calling Competition, and The Shenandoah Valley Buckmasters 2008 Big Buck Contest will be held during the show, with thousands of dollars in prizes to be awarded.
