The Leupold RCX-2 Trail Cam System is an exceptional gift for the hunters and outdoorsmen or women in your life. Anyone who enjoys observing wildlife in the outdoors is going to enjoy one of these great trail cameras. We had the opportunity to test out the the RCX-2 this season and due to a massive hard drive failure on our part, we only have a couple of pics from our entire season with this camera.
What we liked with this camera was the viewing system and the ability to string tons of cameras along, name each of these cameras per location and run your entire spread out all on one system. What it allowed us to do was get into our property early in the dark, check the 3 cameras we had set up and decide where we were going to hunt based on what we saw on the cameras in the field.
The triggers were quick, the camera worked well at night and day and overall we were impressed with the clarity of the shots we got. We liked the video settings and played with them a few times but mostly focused on the pictures and used the cameras to plan our hunts. Once you buy your first sytem, all you need is the camera for your next camera allowing you to cut down on your costs and plan out your property and pattern your animals based on the camera location.
