IFA Florida East Division events set for February 8-9
NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. (February 5, 2020) – Inshore anglers from across Florida and surrounding regions will converge at Titusville, Florida, February 8-9, for the first of two regular-season events for the Florida East Division of the 2020 IFA Redfish Tour Presented by Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s and IFA Kayak Fishing Tour.
The IFA Redfish Tour Presented by Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s will begin its activities on Friday, February 7, with tournament registration from 5-7 p.m. at Days Inn Titusville (3755 Cheney Hwy., Titusville, FL 32780) followed by the captain’s meeting. Anglers will launch at safe light from Parrish Park (1 A. Max Brewer Memorial Pkwy., Titusville, FL 32796) on Saturday, February 8. Check-in times will be assigned at Friday’s captain’s meeting with anglers returning to Parrish Park for the weigh-in, which is set to begin at 3 p.m.
Competitors in the IFA Kayak Fishing Tour will have registration from 6-7 p.m. with captains meeting to follow on Saturday, February 8, at Parrish Park. Anglers will launch Sunday, February 9, from the location of their choice and return to the park for the weigh-in set for 3 p.m.
Continuing to draw inshore anglers from Texas to the Carolinas, both IFA Tours include five different divisions, each with a two-event regular season. With budget-friendly entry fees, both tours offer opportunities to compete close to home while keeping anglers’ expenses to a minimum.
In addition to nearly 200-percent payback, every regular-season IFA Redfish Tour event guarantees a fully rigged RB190 Ranger boat prize package powered by a 90-horsepower, 4-stroke Mercury outboard valued at $26,595 for first place.
During the IFA Kayak Tour Championship, the first-place finisher will receive a guaranteed Ascend 128T kayak and $1,000. Second- and third-place finishers will be awarded an Ascend 12T kayak and $750 and an Ascend 10T kayak plus $500, respectively.
