Governor Henry McMaster visited Inman, South Carolina headquarters to see PPE that will refill emergency stock and help school districts around the state
INMAN, S.C. – October 13, 2020 –LaKota Products has donated 200,000 masks to the State of South Carolina. Governor McMaster visited the facility last Thursday to meet founder and CEO of LaKota Products and TrueTimber Camo, Rusty Sellars, the LaKota Products employees and tour the facility. The donation totaled over $500,000 in PPE that will be used to supplement emergency stock kept by the state of South Carolina as well as in school districts across the state.
LaKota Products’ knowledge of sourcing, fabrics, technologies and manufacturing allowed the company to quickly focus on and respond to the pandemic. The company has provided millions of masks and gowns to hospitals and healthcare workers across the country. LaKota has also provided hand sanitizer and other PPE to the same channels and offers them direct to the general public as well.
“We know this pandemic has been a struggle for people worldwide, but we also know how hard it has hit our home state,” said LaKota Products CEO Rusty Sellars. “We wanted to do something that would have an impact in the communities where we live, work and recreate. The Governor’s office has been a fantastic partner and we’re thrilled to know that our masks will be used specifically to help schools and other people in need at this challenging time.”

LaKota Products Owners Rusty Sellars and Johnny Morris also collaborated to donate more than one million masks to healthcare workers and first responders earlier this year. Through Morris’ Convoy of Hope foundation, PPE made it to frontline workers who needed it most.
