NSSF’s alert system was crucial last year in combating legislation aimed at our industry, most notably in helping to defeat bullet serialization bills in more than 20 states. Several bill sponsors withdrew their legislation immediately following public outcry stemming from the NSSF alerts — in the case of Kentucky, this was within 48 hours of the bill’s introduction.
When the next president and 111th Congress take office, NSSF will be there to oppose anti-gun legislation and regulations and to alert all of its members and alert subscribers of potential threats. Together, we will continue to make an impact.
