National Deer Association September Beer and Deer Webinar to be Hosted by Hank Forester

The National Deer Association (NDA) August Beer and Deer Webinar will be hosted by NDA’s Director of Hunting, Hank Forester. Supporters can tune in today, September 13, at 7:00 p.m. EST for this month’s episode: Mentoring and NDA’s Field to Fork Program. To register for this, and other NDA Beer & Deer webinars, please visit the Beer & Deer webpage at DeerAssociation.com

“Hank is a fantastic asset to our team and is full of great insights for everything deer hunting,” said NDA President and CEO, Nick Pinizzotto. “He helped pilot the Field to Fork program back in 2016 and since then, it has grown to be an invaluable hunter recruitment and education tool with proven success.”

This month’s presentation will be about current trends in hunter demographics, the need for mentoring and about the Field to Fork program. NDA’s Field to Fork is a food-focused hunter recruitment program for adults from non-hunting backgrounds piloted in Athens, Georgia in 2016. It allows participants to take part in a season-long mentored hunting program that teaches them how to hunt and acquire a wild, healthy, local, sustainable food source on their own.

Join NDA the second Monday of every month to sit in with NDA’s staff and guests as they cover a topic related to deer hunting, habitat management, or the latest in deer research. Additionally, each episode includes a message from Nick Pinizzotto where he discusses everything from behind-the-scenes business at NDA, to important updates in grassroots conservation, advocacy and hunter recruitment efforts.
