Nick Golias Hired by Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever to Assist Indiana’s Volunteer Chapters
Indianapolis, Ind. – Jan. 2, 2020 – Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever has appointed Nick Golias, an avid outdoorsman and former business development executive in the steel industry, to serve as the organization’s Regional Representative in Indiana. In this role, Golias will provide support for volunteers in the Hoosier State – currently home to 13 Pheasants Forever chapters, nine Quail Forever chapters and more than 2,600 members – as they focus on public and private lands habitat conservation efforts for pheasants, quail and other wildlife.
Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever empower county and local chapters with the responsibility to determine how 100 percent of their locally raised conservation funds will be spent – the only national conservation organization that operates through this truly grassroots structure. As a result, chapter volunteers can see the fruits of their efforts locally, while belonging to a larger national organization with a voice on federal and state conservation policy. Golias will help guide local chapters to achieve the organization’s mission, while also fostering stronger partnerships with state agencies, corporate supporters, donors, and upland hunters.

Nick Golias graduated from the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business in 2015 before seeking a second degree in natural resources from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Golias comes to Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever with varied professional background including international steel sales, family-owned outdoor retailer experience, and habitat restoration/management skills for wild pheasant recovery efforts in the Midwest. Rounding out his fondness for Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever, Golias has recently volunteered with the National Hunter Mentorship Program in partnership with Pheasants Forever, teaching outdoorswomen the traditions of upland hunting.
“I’ve been an avid upland bird hunter the past 12 years and during that time, I’ve been fortunate enough to travel across much of the Midwest while experiencing public lands purchased and managed by Pheasants Forever. I am a firsthand believer and beneficiary of the organization’s efforts in conservation and habitat work. What an incredible opportunity to come full-circle and now give back to ‘The Habitat Organization’ as a staffer in Indiana,” explained Nick Golias.
