NWTF Announces Mossy Oak as Official Convention Sponsor

EDGEFIELD, S.C.— The National Wild Turkey Federation is set to return to Nashville in February of 2022 for its annual Convention and Sport Show with long-time partner Mossy Oak again joining the celebration of a year of conservation successes as the Official Convention Sponsor.

“Turkey hunting and conservation is at the very core of what Mossy Oak is all about,” said Toxey Haas, Mossy Oak founder and CEO. “From our very earliest days in the industry, we drew our inspiration from those magical spring mornings, and we are so very proud to be the Official Camo of the NWTF and its Official Convention Sponsor.”

As Official Convention Sponsor, Mossy Oak is providing support for many aspects of the Convention and Sport Show, including, but not limited to, sponsorship of the Waterin’ Hole, youth calling competitions, hotel room keys and promotion throughout the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center.

In addition to convention sponsorship, Mossy Oak recently renewed its partnership with the NWTF by dedicating funding to support wild turkey research and is continuing as Official Camouflage of the NWTF.

“We are excited to partner with Mossy Oak on so many levels, but their support for our Convention and Sport Show sets the bar for us to host a truly phenomenal event,” said Natalia Daniels, NWTF national director of corporate relations and licensing. “From the minute attendees walk through the Delta lobby and into the exhibit hall, there’s no doubt Mossy Oak is our Official Convention Sponsor. They play an integral part in bringing the family reunion feeling to this special event.”

The NWTF Convention and Sport Show, officially sponsored by Mossy Oak, is set to begin Thursday, Feb. 17 with the Rendezvous sessions, the Kickoff Party and the opening of the Sport Show floor, which features more than 300 of the best vendors in the outdoor industry. The NWTF Sport Show runs from Thursday to Saturday in the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. Convention festivities conclude with a worship service on Sunday, Feb. 20.

About the National Wild Turkey Federation

When the National Wild Turkey Federation was founded in 1973, there were about 1.3 million wild turkeys in North America. After decades of work, that number hit a historic high of almost 7 million turkeys. To succeed, the NWTF stood behind science-based conservation and hunters’ rights. Today, the NWTF is focused on the future of hunting and conservation through its Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt. initiative. Since 2012, this 10-year initiative has already eclipsed goals of conserving or enhancing more than 4 million acres of essential wildlife habitat, recruiting or retaining more than 1.5 million hunters and opening access to more than 500,000 acres for hunting and other recreation opportunities. This critical work will continue to impact wildlife habitat and our great outdoors in the final years of the initiative.
