NWTF Welcomes Nomad and Huk as Longbeard Sponsors for its Convention and Sport Show

EDGEFIELD, S.C.—The National Wild Turkey Federation welcomes Nomad and Huk as Longbeard sponsors for the upcoming NWTF Convention and Sport Show, set to return to Nashville, Feb. 16, 2022.

“We always look forward to the NWTF convention, it is one of our favorite weekends of the year! We plan for it months ahead, looking forward to talking to all the dedicated turkey hunters in one place,” said Chris Russell, vice president of marketing for Nomad and Huk. “We are proud to be a sponsor of the event itself, as well as the NWTF organization.”

Nomad Outdoors and Huk — notable outdoor brands based in Charleston, South Carolina, and sponsors of the NWTF convention since 2016 — are sponsoring several portions of the convention as Longbeard Sponsors. They are sponsoring Wednesday’s Pub Crawl in the Gaylord Opryland’s pub district as well as the Waterin’ Hole. They also will occupy booth 501 in the exhibit hall.

“At Nomad, we stand alongside the everyday hunter, building purposeful gear priced to suit anyone,” said Russell. “We know hunting is more than a sport, it challenges us, thrills us, and unites us with nature. Hunting is a tradition worth protecting and we invite everyone; young and old, newcomer a seasoned veteran to enjoy the outdoors and join in the hunt.”

“Nomad has been a huge supporter of NWTF since they launched the company and remains a top sponsor. Thanks in part to Nomad, we are able to bring the all new Pub Crawl to our convention attendees. It promises to be a fun event. Having the Nomad team with us brings the family reunion feeling to our event,” said Natalia Daniels, NWTF national director of corporate relations and licensing.

The NWTF Convention and Sport Show, officially sponsored by Mossy Oak, is set to begin Thursday, Feb. 17 with the Rendezvous sessions, the Kickoff Party and the opening of the Sport Show floor, which features more than 400 of the best vendors in the outdoor industry. The NWTF Sport Show runs from Thursday to Saturday in the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. Convention festivities conclude with a worship service on Sunday, Feb. 20.

About the National Wild Turkey Federation

When the National Wild Turkey Federation was founded in 1973, there were about 1.3 million wild turkeys in North America. After decades of work, that number hit a historic high of almost 7 million turkeys. To succeed, the NWTF stood behind science-based conservation and hunters’ rights. Today, the NWTF is focused on the future of hunting and conservation through its Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt. initiative. Since 2012, this 10-year initiative has already eclipsed goals of conserving or enhancing more than 4 million acres of essential wildlife habitat, recruiting or retaining more than 1.5 million hunters and opening access to more than 500,000 acres for hunting and other recreation opportunities. This critical work will continue to impact wildlife habitat and our great outdoors in the final years of the initiative.
