Outdoor Channel Celebrates Conservation with “Great American Tales presented by Hunter Nation”

Outdoor Channel Original Program Features Exclusive Interviews with Donald Trump Jr.

DENVER (November 25, 2019) – How does the son of a New York City real estate mogul, later elected President of the United States, develop such a passion for the outdoors – hunting, fishing and shooting – that he is being celebrated as a modern-day Theodore Roosevelt?

This question, and many more, will be answered on Outdoor Channel’s original program –
Great American Tales presented by Hunter Nation and hosted by Keith Mark. The Great American Tales episode featuring Donald Trump Jr. titled: Donald Trump Jr. – The Modern Teddy Roosevelt   will air exclusively on Outdoor Channel on December 6 at 7:00 p.m. ET.

Many people know that Trump Jr. grew up in Manhattan, was educated at University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and has lived most of his life under skyscrapers in a concrete jungle. What those same people don’t know is that the president’s oldest son is a skilled hunter, nature lover and outspoken conservationist.

When referring to his maternal grandfather, Trump Jr. reminisced, “From a very young age he took me, in Communist Czechoslovakia in the 1980s…and taught me how to shoot an airgun and taught me how to shoot a bow. He got me the foundation of just loving the outdoors, and time around the campfire. It was an amazing experience and one of the things I’m most grateful in my life.”

As a result of his grandfather’s guidance, Trump Jr. fell in love with hunting, fishing and the outdoors and explored those passions whenever he had free time growing up. Today, he has not only gone on to help facilitate the building of skyscrapers around the world but also taken time to enjoy the wide-open spaces through hunting and fishing in those same places around the globe. This modern-day Teddy Roosevelt also uses his platform to call attention to issues of conservation, land management and his involvement in Hunter Nation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving America’s hunting heritage and traditional values, unifying and supporting hunters and ensuring future generations have access to enjoy abundant herds and flocks of wildlife.

“The reason I’m involved with the Hunter Nation is because they’re doing all the right things, the things that I espouse. It’s about the experience, the camaraderie. I’ve met the greatest people in the outdoors.”

“We really have to do a much better job of educating ourselves, getting involved, being vocal about [hunting and fishing]. It’s a great American tradition that we have to preserve at all costs. I’m going to fight hard so that this great American tradition lives long past me,” Trump Jr. continued.
