Outdoorswoman and Tulsa News Anchor Tess Maune Announced as Keynote Speaker of POMA’s Annual Business Conference in Broken Arrow, OK
POMA proudly welcomes Tess Maune as a keynote speaker at POMA’s Annual Business Conference on June 15 in Broken Arrow, Ok.
Tess is an Emmy award-winning journalist who combines her love for the outdoors with her work as a Tulsa TV news anchor and reporter. Born and raised in El Reno, Tess is a proud Oklahoman who always dreamed of working in the TV news business.
She earned a broadcast journalism degree from Oklahoma State University and worked at TV stations in Stillwater, Arkansas, and Oklahoma City before she joined News On 6 in Tulsa in March of 2012. Today, Tess helps folks wake up each day as an anchor for 6 in the Morning.

Tess is not just promoting the outdoors for a job; she’s actually living the “outdoor life” every day outside of work. And she shares many of her own hunting adventures with fans on Facebook and Instagram. Her favorite thing to do is dive down into murky water to hand-catch catfish, so many viewers refer to her as the “noodling news reporter.” Her biggest catch while noodling, by the way, was a 56-pound flathead.
“I’m so excited POMA chose Northeastern Oklahoma for its annual business conference. I’m honored to have the opportunity to share more about how the outdoors changed my life and the work I do every day as a news anchor/reporter in Tulsa to highlight the hunting and fishing heritage,” said Tess.
