Aaron Richardet, founder and owner ofOsprey Custom Cars, announced the purchase of MegaRexx™ Trucks, builder of the MegaRaptor™, the incredible, custom, go anywhere truck that makes its presence known everywhere it goes. If you love the aggressive looks and off-road performance of the Ford Raptor, but want more, then the MegaRaptor™ is for you.
A MegaRaptor™ starts as either a Ford F-250, F-350, or F-450 Super Duty, and then becomes so much more as can be seen by these comparison photos of a standard F250 Superduty truck next to a converted model.
The MegaRaptor™ also dwarfs a standard Ford Raptor in size, sexiness, and aggressiveness.
The MegaRaptor™ base conversion package includes all fiberglass parts, the steel halo that supports the hood and lights, the links for the tilt mechanism, headlights, tail lights, grill, amber or white lights for the grill, gas shocks that help lift and hold the hood open, and the necessary parts to facilitate the larger wheel and tire combination. These large tires and wheels are signature features of the MegaRaptor™. The tires are 46″ Michelin™ XZL tires, and the wheels are aluminum military MRAP (Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected) wheels. These wheels are rated at twice the strength of normal truck wheels or any aftermarket wheel — each MRAP wheel is rated to carry over 10,000 lbs. Many more steps are taken to complete the final conversion, including a visit to Megarexx’s inhouse paint shop and the addition of custom accessories as defined by the buyer. Then the truck is road-tested and adjusted.
Because there are endless options for the build, no two trucks are identical; every MegaRaptor™ is a true, one-off build. The option list includes choices of body color, body texture, lighting, suspension, front bumper design, trailer hitches, side rails, spare tire mounts, and much, much more, including two different widths – a 12” wider than stock Generation 1 version or an 18” wider than stock Generation 2 version. In all cases, the truck retains its work load capabilities, as the bed is not altered.
