Pope and Young Club Announces Temporary Closure of Club Offices

Chatfield, MN – On March 30th, the Pope and Young Club closed their National Headquarters located in Chatfield, Minnesota, until April 10th. The decision to temporarily close the P&Y Office is in accordance with precautions prescribed by the CDC and government officials. The closure is intended to protect our members, the staff of Pope and Young, and the local community. This is part of a national effort to ensure the health and wellness of the public as we fight to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Bowhunters are naturals to personal responsibility, focus, drive, and perseverance. We believe those skills will help get us through this trying time. As we all do our part to combat this pandemic, we wanted to reach out and let you know that Club will continue working to support the ethical pursuit of free-ranging, wild game animals. The Club’s efforts to promote the conservation of both habitat and wildlife will continue as vigorously as ever.

“Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, Pope and Young is temporarily closing our Office through April 10th,” said Jason Rounsaville, Executive Director of the Pope and Young Club. “The health and safety of our supporters and staff is a top priority for us.  We will be closely monitoring the situation and provide you with current updates as they come available. During this closure, our dedicated staff will be working remotely to provide the same excellent service you have come to expect.  We thank you for your support and your patience during this difficult time for our country.”

Even though our offices are temporarily closed, our Staff and Board of Directors are still hard at work protecting and defending the heritage of bowhunting. We ask that if you need to contact the Office staff, email communication be utilized whenever possible. Submissions to the records program can still be made, memberships will still be processed, and our website store remains open for business.

On a more positive note, our Online Auction was a huge success. The support from our members, participants, donating Outfitters, Corporate Partners, State Bowhunting, and Conservation Organizations were greatly appreciated. You all helped turn a potential disaster into an unqualified success. For that, we can’t thank you enough. We consider you all members of the P&Y family, and we hope that you all stay safe and healthy. Together, we will come through this stronger than ever.
