Richard Childress Racing Featuring “SCI – First For Hunters” Logo at Texas Motor Speedway

Washington, D.C. – The Safari Club International First For Hunters logo will be featured on Richard Childress Racing’s famous No. 3 Bass Pro Shop Chevrolet Silverado truck in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on June 4, 2010 at Texas Motor Speedway during the WinStar World Casino 400K.

Richard Childress Racing (RCR) has earned more than 180 victories and 12 NASCAR championships and was the first organization to win a championship in the Sprint Cup Series, Nationwide Series and Camping World Truck Series. The Bass Pro Shop/Richard Childress Racing No. 3 truck will be driven by Austin Dillon, grandson of Richard Childress.

“RCR is honored to carry the Safari Club International logo on our No. 3 Chevy Silverado this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway,” said Childress, president and CEO of Richard Childress Racing. “As an SCI Life Member, I know first-hand the great work the organization does throughout the world to protect our hunting freedoms and promote wildlife conservation. Having my grandson drive the truck is great because it helps promote SCI to the next generation about hunting and conservation.”

The RCR/Bass Pro Shop truck will also feature the “W” logo of the 43rd President of the United States, George W. Bush, who gave the keynote address at Safari Club’s Annual Convention in Reno earlier this year.
