Rigby unveils its first ever Objet d’Art collection

London gunmaker John Rigby & Co. is proud to unveil its new Objet d’art collection, a series of meticulously hand-crafted items perfect for collectors or those searching for the ultimate gift.

Rigby is home to many of the UK’s leading goldsmiths and engravers, and as such has expanded its offering from Best London guns and accessories to include highly desirable handmade pieces, each inspired by its long history of gunmaking.

The Objet d’art collection includes handmade enamelled sterling silver cufflinks featuring the iconic Rigby ‘double R’ logo or the brand’s unique seven-grooved rifle spiral design, as influenced by the iconic .500 Rigby Rising Bite double rifle. There are also fine silver tumblers, sold individually or as a pair, which also carry the famous Rigby ‘double R’ logo and feature a striking enamel finish over a timeless, engine-turned pattern. The collection is rounded off with two hand-crafted pens, one inspired by the .500 Rigby Rising Bite double rifle and the other by the much-loved .275 rifle, as owned by the late Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

All the items in the Objet d’art collection carry the newly registered Rigby ‘maker’s mark’, and those made during 2022 and 2023 will also carry Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee hallmark, adding to the provenance of the pieces.

Rigby goldsmith and engraver James Kulczyk, who has led the creation of the Objet d’art collection, commented: “Although in its infancy, I have been staggered by the interest shown in Rigby Objet d’art not only by our established supporters, but also from new customers. Drawing parallels with Rigby guns, we offer an increasing range of products the quality of which can only usually be found in London’s West End, but, unlike the latter, we offer tremendous value and a service which is second to none.”

Rigby’s managing director, Marc Newton, added: “I’m delighted to see the Rigby Objet d’art collection taking shape and know that it comprises items that our supporters will cherish. We also offer a complete bespoke service for any Objet piece and have some remarkable projects underway, ranging from works previously condemned to history to pieces thought impossible to make until our team stepped in to help. I look forward to sharing them with you in the future.”

Prices start from £1,080.
