RoadRunner Rifle Rest for Real-World Hunting

In the constant search for getting steady shots in the field without carrying bulky gear and reducing as much gear as I carry into the woods, I came across the Roadrunner Rifle Rest as a simple and light weight option for shooting with a simple and effective rifle rest.
The product came in and set up on my trekking pole was fairly easy with the included allen wrench and the extra screws to make sure it fit my trekking pole. This system took me all of about a minute to install on my trekking pole and once I grabbed a rifle and sat down in my office, I was able to get very steady very quickly. This rest can be utilized for cameras, binoculars and rifles and shotguns(while turkey hunting).
It is lightweight and walking with it on my trekking pole, I did not even notice it was on the pole while folded up. This tool is easy to install and simple to utilize, the only con for this product is that you really cannot utilize it while standing, it is only going to really work while sitting or kneeling on the ground which is a good portion of my hunting and a good portion of my shooting at live targets.
The Road Runner Rifle Rest does provide serious stability and at a reasonable price point. Trekking poles are an essential part of hunting long distances and steep country and properly learning how to utilize them in the field can help you to hunt longer distances safely and easily. Coming down a mountain with a heavy pack out, trekking poles can help distribute the weight off of your feet and knees keeping you safer and happier by the time you get back to your vehicle. On hunts where you don’t want to bring a steady tripod, the RoadRunner Rifle Rest gives you a fast alternative.
