Safari Club International Chapter Will Auction Arizona Governor's Tag

Tucson, AZ – Safari Club International’s Arizona Chapter will auction the exclusive governor’s Gould’s turkey tag at its annual fundraiser to be held July 10. The Gould’s turkey population growth in Arizona is a true hunter/conservation success story. The Arizona Game and Fish Department has worked closely with conservation groups, hunters and private citizens to capture and relocate Gould’s turkeys throughout southeastern Arizona.

The winning bidder of this special auction will receive one turkey permit good for an entire year and open to hunt game management units that hold turkeys. Turkey enthusiasts often spend thousands of dollars to hunt Gould’s turkey in Mexico and now that opportunity is available right here in Arizona.20080113_sci
