SERIAL NUMBER “KELLEN01” HENRY GOLDEN BOY IS FIRST OF 42 RIFLES CREATED TO HELP 2-YEAR-OLD BOY NEEDING 42 CANCER TREATMENTS
BAYONNE, NJ, December 21, 2015– Upon learning the story of two-year-old Kellen Findley of Dozier, Alabama who was diagnosed with Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma (striated muscle) cancer, which will require 42 cancer treatments, Anthony Imperato, President of Henry Repeating Arms and his staff quickly volunteered to design and donate 42 custom Henry Golden Boys to help raise funds for Kellen’s treatments.
This Golden Boy is the first of the 42 guns to be sold and is most likely the only one that will be made available on www.gunbroker.com, auction #532360390. The gun carries serial number KELLEN01 and special “Fight Like A Kid” logo and lettering on the butt stock. The high bidder will also receive a special Certificate of Authenticity and Letter of Appreciation from Mr. Imperato.
The auction features a $420 opening bid and a Buy Now of $4,200.
“We have been continually amazed by the generosity and devotion to helping others that has been shown by America’s gun owners, particularly the more than 3 million dedicated GunBroker.com users,” Mr. Imperato said. “When I suggested the $4,200 “Buy Now” price, a few folks thought I was overly optimistic. You just watch, I told them.”
When Kellen’s Uncle, Jay Findley, learned his nephew’s softball-size tumor was cancerous and could not be removed at that time because it was so large, he was devastated. Removing it then, might deform Kellen’s body. He wanted to do something to help Kellen, his parents and family. Uncle Jay and his wife decided to hold a Benefit Auction to raise money for the many costs associated with the 42 treatments Kellen will need to fight this cancer. A fan of Henry rifles, Jay reached out to Henry President Anthony Imperato who immediately responded by donating 42 Henry Golden Boy “Fight Like A Kid” Tribute Edition .22 caliber rifles. The guns will all carry the “Fight Like A Kid” laser engraving on the buttstock and will have special serial numbers KELLEN01-KELLEN42.
In addition to KELLEN01, two additional rifles will be raffled by Top Gun Arms in Ethridge, Tennessee. The balance will be auctioned, raffled or sold through Buds Gun Sales, Sevierville, Tennessee.
