Team Mancuso Powersports in Houston, Texas is donating a 2020 Can-Am Defender to SIRE Therapeutic Horsemanship . The goal of SIRE is to improve the quality of life for people with special needs through therapeutic horsemanship activities, therapies and educational outreach. The donated Can-Am Defender will help SIRE with general maintenance and other work around the SIRE horse ranches.

The giveaway will take place at an event on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, from 8:30a-2p at SIRE Ranch Fort Bend Site 2100 Preston Street, Richmond, Texas 77469. Local media and residents are encouraged to come enjoy the fun!

The donation presentation will also be part of the All SIRE Horse Show with activities, including:

  • Blessing of the Horses
  • Horse Competition beginning at 9a
  • Donation Presentation at 12p
  • Lunch at 12:30p
  • Visit from Santa from 10a-12p
  • On-site Can-Am gear raffle

The Can-Am Defender is made to work on the farm. When animals need to be fed, fences need to be fixed and lumber needs hauled, the large cargo box is ready for any task. The units tight turning radius and comfortable cab make all-day work, just a little bit easier.

Participants in the riding programs that SIRE offer have seen improved social functions, reduced anxiety, improved communication skills and generally improved moods. SIRE also offers riding programs to military veterans and have seen how horses can help heal emotional and physical scars of military service.
