Top Shot Returns To History for Another Great Season

20110728_TOPSHOTLast Season, I spent the better part of weeks glued to the History channel watching 14 folks battle it out to see who was America’s TOP SHOT.  I don’t know about you all but this is the kind of reality television I can get excited about.  Don’t get me wrong I am not above checking out about 3-5 minutes of Keeping up iwth the Kardashian’s…Kim K is a beautiful woman but I can only stand about 5 mintues of that and then I want to see some great shooting, some real Americans and some of the best shooting in the country as competitor after competitor dukes it out for the title of Top Shot and $100,000.00.  Personally, I am going to be begging to be cast on this show after watching this year’s upcoming season.

This year promises to be the best season yet with A national revolver champion, two homeland security agents, a former Navy SEAL, firearms instructors, a restaurant owner and a camp director must demonstrate their skill using the most diverse weapons, from state-of-the-art firearms to rocks.  This season also stars some of the biggest weapons ever featured on TOP SHOT such as the Gatling and Hotchkiss Mountain Guns.  Colby Donaldson returns as host for the competition that takes a page from history.  The restaurant owner and the camp directory are self taught shoters and long shots but I like an underdog.  Personally I will be watching the Jake a former Navy Seal because I know the kind of training he has had and I will be excited to watch Phil Morden because I have seen him compete in three-gun competitions in the past.

The shooters will have to display mastery of weapons from all eras of human history, from the most primitive (rocks) to the most sophisticated tactical firearms. Contestants will employ some of the biggest munitions ever featured on TOP SHOT, including the Gatling gun, the Hotchkiss mountain gun and the CornerShot. In addition, they must endure extreme physical tests to stay in the game. High-speed HD cameras capture the skillful execution of each test in extreme slow-motion.

The premiere of season three begins with a gauntlet of extreme challenges. 16 marksmen immediately pair off and duel with one of the world¹s biggest handguns. Teams are then divided into winners and losers before facing off in a surprise military challenge. In the elimination challenge, two competitors get the ride of their life on a horse-drawn stagecoach as they shoot to stay in the competition.  This is going to be an awesome season to watch!!!

Now the team at TOP SHOT knows we are big fans of the show and they have offered to donate some shirts and schwag to our upcoming Fall Sweepstakes!!!  We will talk more about our Fall Sweepstakes here in another post until then, we could not be more excited to see August 9th arrive so we can turn on the History Channel and watch Season Three of TOP SHOT.  If anyone knows one of the producers over at TOP SHOT who can get me an interview for SEASON FOUR, drop me an email…I am a pretty darn good shot…JUST SAYIN!!!
