Warren Ranch hosts Special Guest Donna Boddington at 2016 Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt

2016-05-10_2120LARAMIE, WY – The Warren Ranch, near Cheyenne, Wyo., has again signed up to be a platinum-level sponsor for the 2016 Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt. The ranch is sponsoring Donna Boddington from the television show “The Boddington Experience” as a special guest hunter at the 2016 hunt.

The hunt, to be held Oct. 6-9, 2016, will bring together 40 female hunters from across the nation at the Ranch at Ucross in northeast Wyoming for a weekend of hunting, mentorship and camaraderie, as well as raising funds and awareness for the Wyoming Women’s Foundation. Each pair of hunters is assigned to one licensed guide and is provided access to scenic, private and public lands surrounding Ucross. To secure one of the limited hunting spots or learn about sponsorship opportunities for the 2016 hunt, visit www.wyomingwomensantelopehunt.org. Hunter scholarships are available.

Boddington appears on “The Boddington Experience” on the Sportsman Channel with her husband Craig Boddington, host of the show, and their two daughters Caroline and Brittany. The show features their hunting adventures around the world. She has years of hunting experience from hunting whitetail on her farm in Kansas to big game in South America, Asia, Europe, Africa, and Australia. She is also a member of the Prois Hunting Apparel’s pro-staff. She is a life member of Safari Club International, life member of the National Rifle Association, sponsor member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and a member of the National Shooting Sports Foundation.

2016-05-10_2121Susan and Doug Samuelson, owners of the Warren Ranch, continue to recognize the opportunity the hunt provides to impact the Wyoming Women’s Foundation and its ability to create change across Wyoming for women and girls. The ranch has been a platinum-level sponsor since the creation of the hunt in 2013.

“I’m thrilled that Doug Samuelson invited me to be involved in the Wyoming Woman’s Antelope Hunt,” Boddington said. “This hunt supports and encourages women to explore and participate in hunting, conservation and I embrace the opportunity to share what I’ve learned and invite women to get involved in the hunting and shooting sports if they aren’t already. I know hunting and shooting has expanded my world, mind and heart more than I ever could have imagined. I just want to pass it on.”

The Wyoming Women’s Foundation created the event – the first of its kind in the nation – in 2013. So far the annual event has raised more than $200,000 for grants and special projects to help women and girls across Wyoming. Special guest hunters have included retired Wyoming Supreme Court Justice Marilyn Kite, Wyoming State Superintendent Jillian Balow, Jana Waller from “Skull Bound TV” on the Sportsman Channel, Women’s Outdoor News (WON) Editor Barbara Baird, 2013 Ms. Wheelchair USA Ashlee Lundvall, and Julie Golob, captain of Smith & Wesson’s highly successful shooting team. Of the 40 total hunters in 2015, 36 harvested antelope, 11 for the first time.
